Asia Green Wood Sdn. Bhd. — formerly Asia Plywood Company Sdn. Bhd. — was founded in 1964. Under the leadership of Dato' Tan Boon Huat, who took over management in 1995, it grew into a family business built on integrity and trust, expanding its footprint across Europe, Asia and America.
In 2023, newly appointed CEO Tan Loong Khoon (second generation) pivoted the company toward a greener vision, integrating sustainability into our core operations. With decades of manufacturing expertise behind us, we have evolved from a plywood manufacturer into a comprehensive enterprise managing forest concessions and renewable energy — moving toward a more sustainable future, filled with love and nature.
To lead a new era of timber — where love guides our work, nature is our partner, and sustainability becomes a way of life.
To renew the bond between people and nature — through how we work, the care we give, and the love we share.
Every log is 100% traceable to a responsibly managed forest, fully aligned with the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).
Rooftop solar and our syngas boiler & biochar facility supply the majority of our electricity — cutting carbon by up to 90%.
Cable-based Logfisher extraction minimises ground disturbance, protecting the forest floor and the wider ecosystem.
Glue-contaminated wastewater is never discharged into public canals — it is treated to extract harmful resins and formaldehyde.
At Asia Green Wood, sustainability is built into the factory itself. We have fitted as much rooftop solar as the available roof area allows — currently supplying 15–25% of our electricity — and run dust-extraction systems, low-emission E1 adhesives and LED lighting throughout. Glue-contaminated wastewater is never released into public irrigation canals; it is treated to remove harmful resins and formaldehyde, while production residues are separated and recycled rather than sent to landfill.
Our advanced syngas boiler and biochar facility converts our own wood waste into clean electricity — supplying 70–75% of our total electricity and savings while reducing carbon by up to 90%. The biochar it produces becomes a high-value co-product for road base, concrete and sustainable agriculture, closing the loop on waste and creating a new revenue stream within a circular, low-carbon economy.
Log selection from legally verified, responsibly managed concessions across peninsular Malaysia and Sabah.
Logs are rotary-peeled into veneer and kiln-dried to 6–10% moisture on Japanese drying lines.
Cross-laminated in odd-number plies with E0 / E1 / WBP adhesive systems, matched to end-use.
Panels are pressed, cured and trimmed. Each is stamped with batch, grade and moisture values.
Seasoned graders sort to BB-face / A-grade. Pallets are strapped, fumigated and containerised.
